Thank you everyone for all of your kind thoughts. Last week everything changed. And fortunately we still have Dad. We hope for little victories everyday. Our brain is amazingly resilient and just overall out-of-this-world bizarre. How can so much fat and tissue make up who we are? I sometimes wonder if the soul lives in our head. And if our heart lives there, too, for that matter. It is nothing other than divine.

Long ago people thought that by feeling the bumps in our heads they could figure out our personalities. Phrenology is largely discredited today, but I can totally see how someone could reach this conclusion.
