mae mae
This designer is super talented. I love her take on wedding invites ... letterpress, flat print or print-at-home. The sets that she offers are fun and well crafted.
sidenote: we are expecting numero tres and D has named he/she "mae mae". Kinda funny.

datavis
I am obsessed/enamored with beautiful charts. The forethought that has to go into each line shows such talent. We Love Datavis is a Tumblr collection of charts, maps, graphs, and diagrams curated by Datavisualization.ch. All are incredible.

Oh ... the luxury of blogging. I am missing having any free time lately. Douglas Wilson (Here are things I like) has a new blog. I immediately discovered recovering lazyholic's photostream. My favorites were the need to want less set and the symbolisms set. Through Doug, I also found some more beautiful charts on Radical Cartography.

vintage prints for dad
D and I took a mother/son trip to The ATL last weekend. It was so fun to be with just the little man. He felt totally spoiled. It was wonderful to be with family, too. I was shocked to find out that Dad is checking his email. I have therefore made it a goal to find things that he likes and then send him links. Just this week I found these gorgeous moths and antique animal prints. He is really into the details of bugs. If you find anything, please send it on!

the girl effect
This is a very moving video. If you have read Three Cups of Tea, The Girl Effect seems to be a great continuation of that idea. When women are given knowledge and power amazing things can happen.
Become a fan here.
sidenote: Trade Gothic Condensed seems to be the font of the day!

apologies

I just discovered Jess Makes Amends via Facebook. We used to work with Jess in Chicago. She has taken a simple idea and made it fun to read. It is such a great use of type, too. I want to see more apologies!

paint with ben

This new branding by Benjamin Moore is brilliant. The interactive site has you pair words with color. It makes me want to paint all of the rooms in my house!
